An absolutely stunning large original acrylic painting on board by Australian wildlife artist James Hough (b.1960). Titled 'Back Country (Galah)', (2009), this detailed and vibrant artwork depicts a country scene with familiar pink and grey galahs perched in the foreground. Signed lower right 'James Hough' with the original 'Kevin Hill' gallery label verso. The artwork and frame are in excellent condition with the frame in champagne gold and cream and gold internal frame. It really is beautiful and rare to see one of this size and calibre on the secondary market. It will be sought after - be quick!

Bio
Born 1960 in the Australian coastal city of Newcastle, New South Wales, James grew up admiring native birds on the family property at Wingham on the banks of the Manning River. He now lives near Maitland in the lower Hunter Valley of New South Wales with his wife. He continues to visit the family property that has given him so much inspiration. James has never undertaken any formal art studies or training and takes pride in the fact that he is completely self-taught.
