1. We make selling art easy. Provide us with details and images of your art by visiting our Contact Us Page.
We will ask you to email us the following items:
- Dimensions of the image
- Dimensions of the frame
- Name of artist and title of the piece if known
- Details of Provenance (history of ownership)
- Images of the front (recto) and back (verso) of the artwork.
- Where is the art located (closest capital city)
2. We will obtain valuations from leading auction houses all around Australia and provide you with the best solution to sell your art. Different auction houses get different results from various artists. That's where ArtMarkets come in. We specialise in knowing the Australian Auction market, knowing who will return the best result for you. We will also feature art on our leading website and social media platforms.
3. Once accepted, send your art to ArtMarkets or we will pick up locally. We will send you links to your art online and once sold, provide you with the funds. Our fee is 12.5% of the sale price, so its in our best interests to get you the best price. If sold at auction, additional fees are charged by the auction house including sellers premium (at our best corporate rate), photography and insurance. In some instances, we may have to send your art interstate to get the best result and transport will be charged at cost. We will inform you if this is necessary to get the best result.
